Folger Shakespeare Library - Circulation Assistant
- Provide preservation and circulation services for the Folger collection, including sound recordings in all formats, printed and manuscript material from before and after 1831, audiovisual material from 16mm to DVDs, theater-related material and ephemera (memorabilia, photographs, programs, and playbills).
- Provide special collections consultation for professional researchers and the Folger Theater on collection information, theater history, contemporary theatrical practice, and application of dramaturgy.
- Tutor and orient theatre professionals and scholars, empowering artists to maximize their research potential with technological and literary resources.
- Facilitate and organize special projects. Examples include: Managing a smooth transition to new secure storage for more than 17,000 Early Modern printed volumes and over 50,000 items of art (January 2013). Cataloging the Folger Theater Archives including scripts, administrative records, promptbooks and designs (2012). Creating a comprehensive rich-text production history for the Folger, complete with digitizations of programs, critical reviews, and production photography (2011).
